We live in an increasingly uncertain world. Every day presents genebanks with fresh challenges. These challenges need new, urgent, imaginative responses. The Crop Trust and the International Plant Treaty Secretariat have responded to the call by the Eighth Session of the Governing Body (GB-8) of the International Plant Treaty to work together on programmatic matters in a variety of ways, including by taking joint strategic action in support of national programs facing acute challenges. This side event will highlight the joint initiatives designed and implemented through this partnership and the lessons learned in the past biennium.
