Nora Castañeda-Álvarez collaborates with our partners to conserve and increase the consumption of forgotten crops in Benin, Ghana, Uganda and Tanzania.
Nora studied Agronomic Engineering at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Bogotá, Colombia) and completed her PhD in biological conservation at the University of Birmingham (UK).
Before joining the Crop Trust, she coordinated projects to increase carbon capture and rural incomes in the Colombian and Peruvian Amazon. She also led research projects on crop wild relatives conservation.
